Dr Andres is highly regarded in the veterinary field for achieving exceptional surgical outcomes for his patients. Our Rehabilitation Department, led by Janet Roa, provides expert, individualised care to support your pet’s post-surgical recovery. Janet holds a degree in Occupational Therapy and is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP)—a highly specialised qualification held by only a select few in South East Queensland. With expertise in neuro-rehabilitation and extensive experience in stroke recovery and spinal injuries, Janet offers a unique skillset that ensures every surgical patient receives tailored rehabilitation therapies to promote healing, restore mobility faster, and enhance long-term comfort—leading to better patient outcomes.

Orthopaedic Surgery
Orthopaedic surgery encompasses any surgery that is related to bones or joints. It includes procedures such as fracture repairs, cranial cruciate ligament repairs as well as patella luxation surgery, just to name a few.
Keyhole Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopic surgery is also known as keyhole surgery, endoscopic surgery or video surgery. It involves creating “ports” (which tend to be around 5mm), to introduce a camera and to fit other instruments like graspers and electrocautery. This approach can be achieved with one single port, but most commonly with 2 or 3 ports.
Airway Procedures
Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) is a condition that affects animal breeds with a shortened face and nose. Breathing difficulties caused by this condition significantly compromise the welfare of the animal and require corrective surgery.
