Luxury Dog Boarding Coomera Gold Coast | Small Breeds | The Vet Lounge
Our five luxury dog boarding suites are located at The Vet Lounge Coomera. The suites are available to small breed dogs only (approx 12kg and under) and we can accommodate up to two dogs from the same family in one suite.
Each room has been specifically designed to mimic the comforts of home to ensure your pet feels completely relaxed throughout their stay. Each suite is fully airconditioned and features a real bed, a television, and beautiful wall furnishings.
Four of the five rooms have real windows, so your pet can sit and gaze at the all the action during the day. We do have one suite without a window for the dogs with storm phobia or anxiety. Queensland summers bring storms and this room, without direct access to a real window, is much better for dogs with anxiety.

FAQ's
Does my dog need to be vaccinated to board?
Yes. All dogs must be up to date with their C5 vaccination (covering distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza, and Bordetella/kennel cough) before their stay. We recommend vaccinating at least 10 days before arrival to allow full immunity to develop. We cannot accept dogs whose vaccinations are overdue or whose vaccination history is unknown.
What size dogs do you accept?
Our dog boarding suites are available to small breed dogs only approximately 12kg and under. We can accommodate up to two dogs from the same family in one suite. If your dog is close to the weight limit, please contact us before booking so we can confirm suitability.
Do you have a suite for anxious or storm phobic dogs?
Yes. One of our five suites has been specifically designed for dogs with storm phobia or anxiety. It has no direct window access, which significantly reduces stress during Queensland’s summer storms. If your dog suffers from anxiety, please mention this at the time of booking so we can reserve this suite for them.
Is a vet available if my dog becomes unwell during their stay?
Yes. Our dog boarding facility is located within The Vet Lounge veterinary clinic at Coomera, meaning a qualified vet is on-site Monday to Saturday during clinic hours. If your dog shows any signs of illness, they can be assessed and treated immediately without needing to be transported elsewhere. Boarding staff are present every day of the week.
How much exercise will my dog get?
All boarding dogs receive two walks per day. Each dog also receives plenty of one on one time with our team. Our boutique size just five suites means staff can give each guest the individual attention they deserve.

What should I bring for my dog's stay?
We recommend bringing your dog’s regular food if they’re on a prescription or sensitive diet, any medications with written instructions, a familiar blanket or toy for comfort, and their vaccination certificate. We provide bedding, food, and water you don’t need to bring these.
Are there peak period surcharges?

What is your flea treatment policy?
All dogs must be flea-free on arrival. We recommend applying a veterinary-approved flea treatment before boarding. If fleas are detected on arrival, we will treat your dog and a treatment fee will be charged. This protects all guests in our facility.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in and check-out takes place during clinic opening hours at our Coomera location. Fees are charged per calendar day including the day of admission and the day of discharge. Contact us on 07 5502 3333 before your stay if you have questions about specific timing.
