Luxury Cat Boarding
Our award winning cat boarding suites are located at The Vet lounge Coomera and Currumbin. We have smaller suites that can accommodate one to two cats for short stays as well as larger, more spacious suites suitable for three to four cats and longer stays.
If your pet is shy, no need to stress, each of our suites has been carefully thought out to provide your pet with places to hide away so they can feel completely relaxed throughout their stay. Each suite has also been individually decorated and themed by a different geographical location.

Mini Break Suites – Coomera Only
Perfect for a mini break!
Approximately half the size of our Premium Suites, our Mini Break Suites can accommodate one cat.
Guests in our Mini Break Suites have their own large private play area.
There are 8 mini break suites available at Coomera only, so we suggest booking early to secure a suite.

Premium Suites
Our award winning suites!
Our Premium Suites can accommodate up to two cats from the same family.
There’s plenty of room to move about but time out in the large play area is available for the frisky felines who like to run about!
Each suite has a shelf above the door for cats who like to hide.

Deluxe Suite – Coomera only
Our award winning suites!
Our Deluxe suite can accommodate up to three cats from the same family.
There’s plenty of room to move about but time out in the large play area is also available should your cat wish to venture out.
This suite has a shelf in front of the window so your kitty can sit and watch what’s going on outdoors.

$24 per day for a second cat in the same suite.

King Suites
For the spoilt felines.
King suites can accommodate up to four cats from the same family. Cats in our King suites have priority of the play area.
A two night minimum stay is required for King Suites due to the time it takes to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned after each visitor.
Coomera has 2 King sized suites with window views. They are approximately twice the size of a Premium suite. Currumbin has also has 2 King sized suites available. They are approximately 3 times the size of a Premium suite but without external windows.

FAQ
Does my cat need to be vaccinated to board?
Yes. All cats must be up to date with their F3 vaccination (covering feline enteritis, calicivirus, and herpesvirus) before their stay. We recommend vaccinating at least 10 days before arrival. We cannot accept cats who are overdue for vaccination or whose vaccination history is unknown.
Is a vet available if my cat becomes unwell during their stay?
Yes. Our boarding facilities are located within The Vet Lounge veterinary clinic, meaning a qualified vet is on-site Monday to Saturday during clinic hours. If your cat shows signs of illness, they can be assessed and treated immediately — no waiting for a vet to be called. Boarding staff are present 7 days a week.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, and we encourage it for cats on prescription or sensitive diets. All boarding stays include Royal Canin dry food (veterinary quality range, not pet store range) fed morning and night, but you’re welcome to bring your cat’s own food if they have specific dietary needs. Please label it clearly and include feeding instructions.
Can my cats share a suite?
Yes, cats from the same family can share a suite. Our Mini Break Suites and Premium Suites accommodate up to two cats; Deluxe Suites (Coomera only) accommodate up to three; and King Suites accommodate up to four. We do not mix cats from different families in the same suite.
What should I bring for my cat's stay?
We recommend bringing your cat’s regular food (if on a special diet), any medications with clear dosing instructions, a familiar blanket or toy for comfort, and your cat’s vaccination certificate. We provide bedding, food, and litter — you don’t need to bring these.
Can you administer medication to my cat?
Yes. Our trained boarding staff can administer medications including tablets, liquids, and eye drops. A small daily fee applies for medication administration. Please bring medications in original packaging with the dispensing label and written instructions.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in and check-out takes place during clinic opening hours. Fees are charged per calendar day, including the day of admission and the day of discharge. If you’re unsure about timing for your specific stay, contact the boarding team at your preferred location — Coomera or Currumbin — before arrival.
Do you cater for anxious or shy cats?
Yes. Our suites are specifically designed with shy cats in mind. Each suite includes dedicated hiding spots so your cat can retreat and decompress at their own pace. We don’t force interaction — staff approach at the cat’s comfort level. Feliway diffusers are used throughout the boarding area to reduce stress.
Are there peak period surcharges?
Yes. An additional $6 per suite per day applies during peak periods including school holidays, Easter, and Christmas. Christmas and Easter bookings require a deposit at the time of booking. We recommend booking early for these periods as suites fill quickly.
Do you have suites with windows?
Yes, at Coomera. The 2 King Suites at Coomera have window views, and the Deluxe Suite has a shelf positioned in front of the window so cats can watch outdoor activity. Currumbin’s 2 King Suites are approximately three times the size of a Premium suite but do not have external windows.
What is your flea treatment policy?
All cats must be flea-free on arrival. We recommend applying a veterinary-approved flea treatment before boarding. If fleas are detected on arrival, we will treat your cat and a treatment fee will be charged. This protects all guests staying in our facility.
