Our Services

Free Professional Nurse advice

Free Professional Nurse advice
As with human hospitals, our nurses are available for appointment (these appointments are free of charge). Nurses are trained and qualified to carry out post operative checks and can answer any questions you have about fleas, worms and nutrition.

Wildlife

Wildlife
All practices treat wildlife free of charge. If you find any injured wildlife, please bring them down to any Vet Lounge practice for veterinary treatment.

Fees

Fees
Don't be fooled into thinking we are expensive because we 'look fancy'. Our prices are consistently in line with other 'average priced vets'. We regularly participate in an annual fee survey for the veterinary industry and are consistently classed in the 'Average Priced Vet' category. Hard to believe you can get veterinary care in such beautiful facilities!

Waiting Room

Waiting Room
While running on time for appointments is very important to us, on the rare occasion an emergency may delay us slightly. On these occasions, our waiting areas are super comfortable for both you and your pet. Again, this rarely happens and we run on time for appointments.

Heartworm Disease

Heartworm Disease
Some frightening statistics. A recent study on Heartworm Disease in Australia, showed that 40% of all dogs that tested positive for heartworm disease were being given a monthly preventative. The positive results were due to owners not giving the medication correctly. We recommend the annual heartworm injection.

The practices

The practices
The Vet Lounge has won multiple prestigious business awards. We are well known for our practices as they have been built in a way that your pet will think they're at someones house and not the vet! Much more comfortable!

Birds

Birds
We have several vets who have completed extra courses on Avian medicine. Birds are very welcome at our practices!

Xray

Xray
Radiographs (commonly known as X-rays) are a very important tool to help us diagnose disease in your pets, particularly for conditions involving the abdomen, bones and chest.

General Consultations

General Consultations
Communication is important to us! So much so, that we have developed a number of Ipad applications to help us educate you on the health requirements of your pets. Using the apps, our vets can send e-books on most health issues and email you a report of your pets physical examination.

Orthopaedic Surgery

Orthopaedic Surgery
Orthopaedic surgery is not something that every veterinary practice is able to provide. We are fortunate however to have on our team, veterinarians who can perform advanced orthopaedic procedures.

Pathology

Pathology
All practices have in-house blood analysis machines that allow us to assess your pet’s blood within 15 to 20 minutes of the blood being taken. As we can get the results quickly, we are able to accurately diagnose your pet’s problem and start their treatment quickly.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound
Ultrasound (the same technology used to generate sonograms during human pregnancy), uses sound waves transmitted into the body to create an image. It is a non-invasive procedure.
