The Vet Lounge offer the following FREE services as a community service.
Free Advice from our trained Veterinary Nurses
As with human hospitals, our nurses are available for appointment (these appointments are free of charge). Nurses are trained and qualified to carry out post operative checks and can answer any questions you have about fleas, intestinal worms, heartworm and nutrition.
Free Veterinary care for injured wildlife
There is no government assistance for the treatment of our precious wildlife so The Vet Lounge 100% fund the care. This care is free of charge to the community. You may have seen our snake surgery on the news where our vets Dr Brei and Dr Matt surgically removed a teddy bear from a wild carpet pythons stomach! If we didn't remove the teddy, the poor snake would have died a slow painful death. The surgery was so unique, the story went worldwide, including CNN and Discovery Channel Canada! All wildlife deserve our help so if you find any injured wildlife, please bring them down to any Vet Lounge practice for the care they deserve.
If you are unsure how to safely transport the animal, please call us for advice.
Free teeth assessments
If you could use a little extra help keeping your pets teeth clean, our nurses can help you. They'll show you how to clean the teeth yourself using a finger brush and pet toothpaste, educate you on the best teeth cleaning treats and explain how dental diets work to keep the teeth clean. This visit is free of charge at all practices.
